I have set printer preferences to double sided, flip on long edge.

But I still get it flipped on short edge.

Just in case I am using the terminology incorrectly, I want to be able to turn the page the same way as when reading a book - conventional page turning

Thanks

I know that is how it is meant to work. But in my case I have set all the settings correctly and it is still flipping on the short edge when I have told it I want the long edge

Hello,

Did you check the page orientation before printing. I guess in your case its set to landscape which is causing this issue.

You may have to set the page orientation to "PORTRAIT" . Below are the steps ( in MS WORD )that should guide you in doing so.

  • Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Print.
  • Click Properties, and then click the Page tab.
  • Under Orientation, click Portrait.
  • Click OK twice.

Jabzi

Yes, I have it set for PORTRAIT, Long edge,

(Your inspiration was a good one, which made sense. When I read it I thought, "I think he may be right!"....but sadly this was not the problem)
