I have given up trying to get the wireless to print scan or anything else and have gone back to using the USB cable.

 

It would appear the wireless feature is broken or too dependent on other things to work.  I spent a lot of time with HP support on the phone and chat and they looked at my computer, but although it looked like it worked, after the computer sat for a few hours it lost all the ability again.

To which device are you trying to connect the printer?
