Product: Officejet Pro x576dw
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am getting the error:  The printhead appears to be missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed.  Error Code:  0xc6fd0017.

 

The error message has an X inside a red circle on the upper left of the screen. The screen is locked.  The back button does not work.  The touchscreen is not active.

 

The message comes up immediately after power on.  There is no way to get to the printhead repair menu.

 

Is there a way to fix this that is cost effective?  I have tried the ideas oin the websites, including pressing the power button to discharge, etc.
