Hp Access Control 15.3.1

 Hi,

Description of the environment:

-          We have HP AC Express 15.3.1 - everything is configured

         - Proximity reader set as HID Prox UID (other types are not set)

         - Authorization based on the domain groups

         - Login with name and password is everywhere ok

-          We have 2 pieces of HP LaserJet 700 Color MFP M775

         - Each has Proximity Card Reader

         - The same FutureSmart v3 firmware (latest)

         - HPAC IRM – writing to LDAP

Problem Description (authentication / authorization with card)

-          1pc HP LaserJet 700 color MFP M775 works as expected

          - authentication OK

          - authorization ok

          - card is written to the LDAP as 1A1A144002 (real example)

-          1pc HP LaserJet 700 color MFP M775 is not working (authorization card) - Factory Reset did not help nor restore from backup with settings of the 1. MFP M775

          - authentication ok - user is logged into the control panel

          - authorization is wrong (nothing is accessible on the menu of the control panel)

          - card is written to the LDAP as EF012D1A1440062000 (real example)

We need to find out:

-          How to influence what is written to the card attribute?

          - Why is this value different after login on other device?

-          Why authorization works only if there is shorter code in card attribute?

         - How to make authorization work, if there is longer code in card attribute?

Thank you

Richard

Update:

After reapeted resetting and reinstallation we have now the same card code from both MFPs.

It looks like EF041A1A144002.

We are able to login to both MFPs. But 1 still shows no authorization for authenticated user.

Update:

After formating HDD in MFP's BIOS and new installations we have working solution (all sign-in methods work).

Until we reboot MFP...

After reboot card sign-in works, but no Windows or LDAP sign-in (timeout).

It's strange because first time card sign-in requires Windows credentials and it works.

We have to uninstall IRM solution from printer to make Windows and LDAP sign-in work again.
