Hello, @sachin123SK – Hope you are well πŸ™‚

Thanks for your continued participation on the HP Forums! I saw your post about the printer issue and will be glad to be of your assistance πŸ™‚

I understand that the printer giving an error while trying to print from your PC. To assist you with this issue, I need to know whether the printer can make a "Photocopy" or not.

Place a document face down on the scanner glass and press the copy option on the printer control panel. Let me know if it makes a good copy or not. Also, what is the operating system on your PC?

If the copy comes out fine, then the issue is with the printer drivers on your PC. If you are using the Windows OS, then try the steps below to fix:

  • Unplug the USB cable from the printer and computer if present.
  • Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Now, go to http://hp.care/2lzG6Me to download and install the printer drivers.
  • Connect the USB cable if prompted and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation.

If you are running MAC OS X, then try the following steps:

  • Click the Apple menu icon, and then click β€œSystem Preferences”.
  • Click β€œPrinters and Scanner” / β€œPrint and Scan” or β€œPrint and Fax”.
  • Right-click the blank space in the Printers list, and then click β€œReset printing system”.
  • Click β€œReset” in the confirmation window.
  • Enter an administrator username and password, and then click β€œOK”.
  • Wait until the printing system is reset and no devices show in the Printers list
  • Restart your computer and then go back to System preferences – Printers and scanners.
  • Click the β€œAdd button” (+).
  • Find, and then select the name of your printer from the printer list, and then click β€œAdd” to add your printer.
  • Click β€œPrint Using...”, and then select the name of your printer (By default β€œAirprint” would be selected)

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

Good luck πŸ™‚
