When HP Smart app show the Home Page with the 8 squares for Energy Save Mode, Web Services, Printer Update, Network Summary, etc. On six of these squares is a Locked logo shown. And a msg. that reads: This feature has been locked by the administrator. When clicking on any of those squares, a Log in menue comes up. It shows "Windows Security, HP Smart and The Server (number) is asking for your user name & password. The server reports tht it is from admin." I am Administrator, but I have no idea what the User Name and Passord is is asking for?? And why would all those "squares" have it locked down? Thanks for some sort of reply.

Hi,
Your printer was configured with an Administrator Password, a such was configured from the EWS page and not shipped with such protection by deault.
The username would be admin (all lowercase) with a selected password by you or any other user connected to your network. try a combination of this user with a password you would possibly select and check if you may log in.
Please let me know if you are able to locate the password,
Shlomi

Thanks for input. I will try your suggestion. I also looked in the Manual for the printer I have: OfficeJet 4650 all in one, and it gives to options to use. Tried one without luck. On to the next one.... I'll let you know if I succeed! Thanks again.
