HP Officejet 7310 All-in-One P
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Dad gave me this HP Officejet 7310 All-in-One printer and it works beautifully with the scanner, fax, copier, etc., but when I try to print from the internet, it won't communicate with it. It shows that it is already printed so it's not in the queue. It is not under warranty and I know I am just missing something simple because I have tried everything. Anyone have any advice? This is driving me insane...

Hi @TCUrn,

You're welcome. 🙂 I appreciate you taking the time to troubleshoot. As I understand you tried the steps suggested and still having the same issue. Don't worry as I have a few other steps that should help,

I would suggest you provide admin permissions for your printer.

  • Press the "Windows logo key" + "r" to get “Run" - Type "spool" and press ok.
  • Right-click on "PRINTERS" - Select "Properties"
  • Select "Security" tab. You will find few entries like "Administrators" and "users", click on "Edit" and give "Full permission" to all the entries. Save / apply the settings.
  • Go to "Devices and printers", right-click on the new printer that you installed and select "Printer properties".
  • Select "Security" tab. You will find few entries like "Administrators" and "users", click on "Edit" and give "Full permission" to all the entries. Save / apply the settings.
  • Restart your computer and then try to print.

If this option does not help, then I would suggest you install the Windows built-in drivers: Click here

Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance.

As I understand you are having printing issues on your HP OfficeJet pro 7310 Printer. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

Let's try these steps here:

I would start by checking the installed printer software by downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and fix many printing and printer software related issues. Please use this link to help you with that information: http://hp.care/2biN2XE

If this option does not help, I would suggest next thing would be to uninstall and reinstall the drivers

Please follow the steps to uninstall the printer software:

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Restart the PC

Now we need to reinstall the printer. Try the steps blow:

Please respond to this post with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hearing from you.
