Hi rt67,

First of all do not have the printer connected to the network.

Please do an engine test page and share the results here. There is a tiny button on the DC controller which can also be access from the cover as it has small hole for this purpose. Press and hold this button for a few seconds then an engine test page will come out.

If the engine test page is fine (not blank) then there is something wrong with the formatter or the ICB.

If the engine test page is blank too, then further investigation is needed.

49.2F.FF

Description

Generic Unhandled exception error.

Recommended action
Check that the FFC cable is not damaged and is properly seated between the DC Controller and the Inner connecting PCA.
If reseating the cable resolves the issue the DO NOT replace any parts.
Reseat DCC, check all connectors. If it brings not to a solution, replace DCC.
If the FFC cable is damaged then replace the cable, RK2-4077-000CN.
If after replacing the reseating or replacing the cable the issue is still not resolve then replace the Inner connecting PCA, RM1-8294-00CN.

I hope this will help,

Cheers!

The printer is not Connected to the network. The engine test came out fine. It printed out the grid (for a lack of a better description). I immediately tried to print a usage page and it gave the code again. I have tried swapping the formatter with a working printer. It did'nt change my problem. Now this same printer did this a few months ago and I couldn't get anywhere with it. We left it on the work bench unplugged for about a week. Came in one day and plugged it back in and it started working fine. We redeployed it and it worked fine up until this past monday. Thanks for the help

New symptom, after you select usage page in the administration to print out internally, it starts then gives the error code but the paper stops just as it enters the fuser. When you remove the paper and close the cover the printer reboots. Any new advise?

Doing a partial clean and upgrading the firmware to the latest available version would only benefit the printer and may resolve this issue.
