Product: HP LaserJet Pro M1217 nfw MFP
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Trying to re-install my HP Laserjet as wired or wireless using the full set up software downloaded for the printer from the HP website.  But, at the end of the set up process, the installation fails and no drivers can be installed.

Hi,

Connect the USB cable and disable the HP Smart Install feature using below utility:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL53553/Im-129228-1/LJM1130_M1210_SI_Utility.exe

 

Once done, unplug the USB and restart your printer, then install its software below:

https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/COL32629/Im-80811-7/LJM1130_M1210_MFP_Full_Solution.exe

 

be sure not to plug the USB till the installation guide to do so, then check for any difference.
