I just purchased this printer and when it begins to print it has a loud squeak. I bought it because it said that it will print automatically on both sides of the paper. It will not do this and either will prompt me to do it manually or print them single-sided (I changed the settings to do double-sided).

Hi @kclane926,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.
Thank you for posting your query. I'll be more than glad to help you.
I understand that you are facing issues with your wherein the automatic duplexer is not working.
This issue could occur if the print settings are not correct.
Let's go through a few steps that may help to fix this issue.
And here are a few steps in the link: How to Print on Both Sides of the Paper (Windows) (Duplexing)
Let me know if this works.
You have a good day ahead.

For some reason I cannot log in with kclane926, so had to create a new name. This has been quite an issue. I created a profile with password and then could not log in with it later.
Anywho...
Your response to my problem did not help. I tried calling and their computers were down and unable to help.
I did another search on the duplexing and found an answer on the forum. Evidently it is not installed as a default. I was able to change it and now it is working.
The printer squeaked the first couple of times and now it isn't squeaking. So that seems to be resolved.
