Hi,
Our printer (Color laserjet M855) needed a new transfer-kit. It showed to be <10%. I shut down the printer, replaced the part and restarted the printer. The printer keeps saying the transfer-kit needs to be replaced and still shows at <10%. The instructions added with the transfer-kit do not include anything to reset this counter.
How do I reset this so the printer knows a new transfer-kit has been placed?
Kind regards,
DienstICT

I found a quick youtube video describing the process for a HP 4700 here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GS85KEQba6k
According to this video the reset process should occur automatically if you complete the part swap while the printer is turned on. If not you may be able to search through menus and kick of a manual calibration from one of the maintenance options that are available.
Try scanning in a copy of the instructions that came with the kit so we can see what tehy have advised you to do. Perhaps we can identify something that you have missed.

Actually here is one specific for the M855:

Seems pretty straight forward.

Scratch the recommendation to keep the printer powered on during the transfer kit replacement process.
Here is an article from HP that describes the entire process:
Step one is to power off the product. At the very end it describes plugging the power cord back in and powering on the product. So no power should be necessary.
Try reading through the steps in the HP document unless this is what you were previously referring to and see if you missed anything.
