Copy is faint - new cartridge did not solve problem

LaserJet M1217nfw MFP
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

purchased new cartridge - did not solve. copy is not smudged or uneven, just faint.

Hi I would like to assist to the best of my ability to solve your problem.I hope the information i supply will be of help.

I think you should make sure that all the contact points inside the machine is clean and not deformed.Do the same on the toner cartridge .It sounds like the HV unit is not supplying the correct voltage to the drum unit.Hope this will help.
