Hi
My office has bought a Color LaserJet Pro MFO181 fw but never really managed to set it up. A few steps into to the setup procedure one is told to enter the password, but there we have searched the box and the documents and there were really no password anywhere. We have tried 000, 1234..... etc and it doesnt work. How should we proceed?
We bought this almost two years ago and never got it up and working so we used it as a photocopy machine. Now I need to set it up as a printer so please advise how to get past that initial password.

Hi and thanks for your reply. Unfortunately I can not find any default EWS password on the back of the printer. I tried all the different numbers I found there but none of them seems to be the code. The text seem to mainly be model codes and serial numbers.
When we bought this printer almost two years ago we tried desperately to get past the password step but didn´t manage. Is there any default password like 0000, 1234... etc? Anything else to try - it feels sad to buy a printed and never managing to set it up.

If it was never changed, newer units use the default wifi password (printed on a label on back of printer) as the default EWS password. If it has been changed from default you will need to perform a factory default restore.
