HP Easy Scan software: When I try to scan a document on the printer's flatbed, it returns an error message that "Automatic Document Feeder is Empty"
I have tried setting up a custom preset with Source = Flatbed, but it still doesn't work.

HP Easy Scan is not yet compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina. We're actively working to restore complete functionality. I suggest using HP Smart app or Apple Image capture to scan from your MAC. Kindly refer to this document to know how.

macOS 10.15.3 (released 1/28/2020) contains the fix for this issue. Once updated HP Easy Scan will be able to scan from the glass or the ADF as normal.
Scan to Computer is also fixed with 10.15.3.
I did notice that if the printer is in sleep mode, some times an error will be reported. But if you wake the printer by inserting a page in the ADF or touching the screen you will be able to scan normally.
