Dear community,

I've run into an annoying problem with my HP Color LaserJet MFP M577.

While trying to scan a few pages with the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF)  I get the error 49.38.0C and the printer restarts.

The problem only occurs when starting the scan job via printer touch screen and trying to save on SMB file share on the iMac.

Using macOS Image Capture application works but is much more effort.

The problem started after the upgrade to macOS 10.14 mojave.

Restarting the printer, router or iMac did not solve the problem.

A firmware update dating after the release of macOS 10.14 is not available and the latest firmware HP FutureSmart 4 (4.6.0.1 - 2406048_029627) dated 20180510 is already installed.

Help would be much appreciated 🙂

Best regards

 Gerhard
