Printer had paper jam, removed the paper then error e1 is coming and printer is not picking paper

Let's try the following steps:

 

Step 1: Clear any jammed papers.

 

A. Clear jammed paper from the input tray.

  • Remove any loose paper from the input tray.
  • Use both hands to remove any jammed paper from the input tray.
  • Load plain paper in the input tray, and then try to print.
  • If the error persists, check for jammed paper in the output bin.

 

B. Clear jammed paper from the output bin.

Removing jammed paper

  • Use both hands to remove any visible jammed paper from the output bin area.
  • If necessary, lift the scanner assembly, and then use both hands to remove any jammed paper.
  • Try to print. If the error persists, check for jammed paper in the document feeder.

C. Clear paper from the document feeder

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Open the ADF cover.
  • Lift the jam-access cover.
  • Use both hands to remove any jammed paper inside the ADF.
  • Close the jam-access cover.
  • Close the ADF cover.
  • Turn on the printer.
  • Try to print. If the error persists, check for a jammed paper near toner cartridge access area.

D. Clear jammed paper from the toner cartridge access area

  • Turn off the printer, and then disconnect the power cord from the wall socket or power strip.
  • Lift the scanner assembly.
  • Open the top cover.
  • Remove the toner cartridge.
  • Use both hands to remove any jammed paper from the toner cartridge area.
  • Align the toner cartridge with the tracks inside the printer, and then push the toner cartridge until it is firmly seated.
  • Close the top cover.
  • Lower the scanner assembly.
  • Reconnect the power cord to the wall outlet, and then turn on the printer.
  • f you have checked and removed any jammed paper from each printer area and the error persists, continue to the next step.

Step 2: Reset the printer

  • Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  • Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  • Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  • Wait at least 60 seconds.

  • Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

  • Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  • Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

  • Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

  • Try to print/copy from the printer
