When I switch on the printer, it settles on displaying "Ready2Download" and stops working. My laptop is unable to detect the printer and shows its status as offline.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "Ready 2 Download" message.
Connect a USB cable from the computer to your printer. Download and install the firmware update for Win 10 (64-bit) from this link.
If the issue still persists, I have sent you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Check next to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.
