When I print certain graphics documents, it takes forever to print - for example, one photo took 30 minutes.

 

It also often happens that during certain jobs, nothing happens, and it becomes necessary to turn the printer off and back on.  This problem was not due to a network problem.

 

On the other hand, if you are printing a word document, it is very fast.

 

I would appreciate some advice on how to speed all our printing up.

  • Which application are you trying to print from?
  • Have you tried printing different types of documents like PDF or Webpages and check if the issue persists?

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest firmware from your MAC.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Check the print settings on the MAC. Refer to this document.

If you are trying to print in BEST mode, it will take longer to print than NORMAL or DRAFT.

 

If the issue persists, follow the steps mentioned in this document.
