HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (32-bit)

Hi,

I have this problem on our network printer which is the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M177fw. Everything seems fine but then the printer won't print. I tried to reset the printer spooler, hard reset the printer, re-install the printer driver. I also even change the ip address. I tried to print a test print, test print will work if you unplug the cable power and plug it again. But if I try to test print again it wont print.

I checked the printer queue once I make a test print, it says that "printing" but the printer is not printing any document.

Please help me, I've been struggling with this error for 2 weeks

Thanks.

Hey @Angeh5SOS,

I see that you are having some issues with printing from your Windows 8.1 PC to your Laserjet M177fw Printer. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and not a surge protector. Once done:

  1. If your printer is connected to your PC through a USB cable, remove it.
  2. Close all programs you have open.
  3. In your search bar open Printers and Devices and Printers.
  4. Right-click on any icon of your printer listed.
  5. Click on Remove Device.
  6. Repeat for any other icons of your printer listed.
  7. If you removed the USB cable, connect it. If not, click on Add Printer and follow the prompts to add a new queue for your printer.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you are able to resolve your issue, please click on Accept Solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. Both icons are below this post.
