HP Laser Jet Pro M254dw printing only column of text on page

Printer only prints an 1-inch wide column of text?  Just a strip/column of document content, and remainder of the page on both sides of column remains white.  Print error happened on its own (i was not changing printer settings, etc.)  Error happens with everything I try to print.  For example, MS Word documents, Adobe documents, web pages, etc.

Have spent 3 hours resetting defaults, un-installing/re-installing drivers/downloads, etc.  Have run HP Print and Scan Doctor, no help.   Installed and ran HP Smart, no help.  Unplugged printer from electric wall outlet, removed all print cartridges, held power button for 20 seconds, . . . then plugged printer back in, reinstalled cartridges, and restarted printer.  Still only prints column of text.  Thanks in advance for your help!

If you print any of the reports from the control panel of the printer do you get a full page or the same single column as it was not clear from  your post if you tried that. This will tell you if you have a hardware issue or a software issue.

Thanks for idea.  Yes, I still get the 1-inch wide column of black text in middle of page when I use printer's control panel to print "demo page" test page.  But, in addition to the 1-inch wide text column, on both sides of text column the page is full of color images.  The color images are clear, but don't look that nice, perhaps because no black is printing on either side of 1-inch wide column.

Also, the black cartridge is made by HP and is about 60% full.  All color cartridges' are also HP and are brand new 100% full.

Any other ideas?
