HP LaserJet CP1025nw
macOS 10.14 Mojave

After upgrading to Mojave 10.14.2, I cannot print to my HP LaserJet CP1025nw from Preview or other Apple applications. The printer app says: "Stopped - 'Filter' failed".
My printer is a LaserJet CP1025nw and not a LaserJet Pro CP1025nw.
I've upgraded the firmware in the printer to the latest (20130826), which I installed with the installer LJCP1020_FW_Upgrade-20180302.dmg.
I can print PDF files from Adobe Acrobat Reader DC and I can print PDF files that I email to the printer. Why aren't Apple applications able to print?

A warm welcome to HP Community!

HP LaserJet Pro CP1025nw Color Printer is AirPrint compatible. If the printer is connected to your home network, use the following steps to remove the existing printer driver and setup the printer with Apple AirPrint.

Please ensure that the Mac is up to date with it's software. If you are unsure you may use the steps available here to update Mac software.

1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.)
Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then clicking the minus button  at the bottom of the list.

4.) Click the plus sign , click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint or secure AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.

Select AirPrint from the Use menu

6.) Try to print.

Let me know how it goes!

Thanks!  This solved my problem!

Just curious - did the firmware update to 20130826 add AirPort support?

@printer_neverwo, Welcome to HP Support Community!

HP LaserJet CP1025 Color Printer is not supported with macOS 10.14 Mojave. HP LaserJet CP1025 Color Pinter driver for macOS 10.14 Mojave are not available from the HP website or Apple Software Update. However, Gutenprint (formerly called Gimp-Print) provides open-source basic print drivers for many printers that would otherwise not be supported in Mac OS X. To see if your printer is supported, go to Gutenprint drivers for more information.

NOTE: Gutenprint drivers are not supported by HP or Apple.

HP LaserJet CP1025nw(network capable model) printer is AirPrint compatible. If in case you are using the HP LaserJet CP1025nw and the printer is connected to your home network, then try setting up the printer with AirPrint.

Here is how to do it:

Please ensure that the Mac is up to date with its software. If you are unsure you may use the steps available here to update Mac software.

1.) Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
2.) Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, If your printer is listed, click the printer name, click the minus sign to delete the printer.

3.) If you see multiple printer queues for the same printer, remove all extra printers by selecting them one at a time, and then click the minus button at the bottom of the list.

4.) Click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name.

5.) Click the Use or Print Using menu, select AirPrint or Secure AirPrint in the pop-up menu. Then click Add.
