The error on the display of the HP LaserJet Pro M402dn has a message "load paper" with the red triangle flashing below the display. The user stated there was an inital paper jam, which they removed. I do not see any traces of any paper that may have been left. I have adjusted the paper guides, gone through the entire insides of the printer looking for anything that could be preventing the printer from detecting the paper. I do not know where the paper sensor is to see if it is damaged or out of place. Please help me resolve the error. Thanks.

Removing jammed paper wrong way can cause breaking a tray sensor lever that detects the presence of paper in the tray, it's located in the middle of the bottom part of the printer when the tray is removed. Arrow is pointing to that part.
