I want to use an SSL certificate issues by Lets Encrypt with my HP Laserjet Pro 4302fdw printer. Like most public CAs, Lets Encrypt signs the certificates issued to users not with one of their root CAs but an intermediate CA. For the client to successfully build the chain of trust from server (printer) certificate to the root CA certificate in its trust store, it requires the intermediate CA certificate. Typically this is therefore provided by the server along with the server certificate.

I have successfully imported a pfx certificate that includes private key, printer certificate and the intermediate CA certificate. The intermediate CA certificate does not show in the web interface. The printers web server does not send the intermediate CA certificate to the clients, therefore some clients fail to build the chain of trust and abort the connection.

How can I make the printer‘s web server send the intermediate CA certificate to the clients to resolve this?
