We just purchased a lot of HP M608 printers. The control panel displays a logo of the company that previously owned the printers. In the control panel, I've traced this to something called the "Home Screen App" (see photos). Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a way to change the "Home Screen App". Question:
Is there a way to change this?
A factory reset and firmware upgrade failed to get rid of the logo.
Did you try the cold reset option in the preboot menu? It is under startup options in the administration manual. And to confirm, there is no drop down option in the home screen app you show to change to default? Unless either a custom firmware was used that tattooed the boards or they implemented a preboot menu password that prevents the overwrite when you format, but then typically you would not be able to do anything in the preboot menu. If you are an HP partner I would suggest you open a case with your HP tech contacts as I have never run into this before.
