HP laserjet M1526dnf 49 error

My printer keeps displaying '49 error turn off and on' especially when i want to make a photocopy. Printing works fine. i have turned off and on many times to no avail. i have also reset the printer to default, yet no solution. Please can anyone help me.

Most 49 errors are related to issues with firmware so the first step would be to ensure that the firmware is up to date.

i have updated the firmware to the latest, yet 49 error keeps popping up
