Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I am unable to send the file scanned in PDF format over HP 4345MFP printer. When I have checked the log file it shows the error as shown below. 

error code:  3031  error component:  0110

File format:  PDF (Color) File Size: 0 

 File scanned in JPEG format is working fine and it automatically sent to the network folder with n

Update the firmware to the latest.

 

If the problem persists then experiment with network folder security.  Start by opening up folder security to "Everyone".  Check if you can scan to alternative folders in this area.  Try scanning to a folder in a different location such as another server or PC.

 

Experiment with scan to USB vs Network.  See if you can complete scans to a USB connected PC or not.  If not then there might be something corrupt with the PDF module/software on the printer.  Its likely a firmware update is necessary to resolve a problem like that.

 

Further isolate the issue by scanning a document in TIFF.  See if the problem is isolated to .PDF or not.  You mentioned single image files do work.  Try scanning a single page PDF vs a multi page PDF.

Please confirm the firmware version you are running is current. That is an considerably older machine and it is possible that the PDF creator portion is not generating a valid file format for current standards.
