I just installed my HP Officejet PRO 8030.  Love everything about the printer except the printouts come out in the wrong order (for 5 pages, instead of a 1-5 pile, it's a 5-1 pile).  How do I get it to print in reverse order so my pile is pages 1-5 instead of 5-1?

I reviewed your post and I understand that you want to know how to print in reserve order.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Try the steps recommended below to print in reverse order from your printer.

Click the Advanced tab in Printing Preferences.
Expand the Document Options entry.
Expand the Layout Options entry.
In the Page Order: drop-down menu, select Back to Front.
Click OK.

If you can’t find a reverse print order toggle in the printer’s Preferences or in the application’s Print dialog, simply enter your desired page range in reverse order in the Print dialog’s Page Range. For example, if you’re printing pages 1 to 8 of a document, enter “8-1” as below, then click Print:

Clipboard01

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

Thank you. I tried this on both a Chromebook and a Windows laptop. The option to reverse order isn't there and when I say print 5-1 it still prints in the current order. Is there a driver update I need?

I recommend you root uninstall the printer and then reinstall and check if it helps.

Here is how it is done.

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose 'Delete' or 'Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between “printui.exe” and “/s”)

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

13.) Restart the PC

14.) Download and install the printer software from the below link.
