Microsoft Windows XP

Have a HP Color LaserJet CM3530fs that was previously set up with "limited" menu options, I need to access the network settings but even after a cold reset this part of the menu is not available, I understand that there is a procedure to clear out previous administrator changes to "open" all menu options, can someone assist ? As mentioned I have already done the Cold Reset (holding the #6 button, selecting cold reset etc.) & this is not enough.

Thanks in advance.

You have to initialize the hard drive on these models to clear the password.

Okay Thanks, how do I initialize the hard drive ?

Press and hold the “START” button at power up until three lights on control panel light solid, release button and press
“5”, printer should read “INITILIZE DISKS”, press “6” to select.

PLease note above procedure will erase any and ALL data from drive.

Thankyou, yes those steps allowed me to select the "initialize" option, unfortunately there is still no "administration" menu after it loaded up, I have done the initialize about 5 times, also did cold reset following initialize procedure with same results.. Any other ideas how the administration menu could still be hidden/unavailable ?

Can you screen shot what you are seeing? I want to make sure I fully understand what you are seeing. There exists a possibility that the previous person who programmed it, changed the passwords and has effectively locked the system up.
