I can print, I can Scan, and I can Fax from my printer, I can print but I can't fax from my PC

When I try to fax from my PC I get a message that it can't access the address book on the printer because the printer is turned off.

From the printer I can copy, fax and scan

From my PC I can print and scan but not fax

I have updated the drivers and software from the HP site and updated the BIOS

I can't find any 3rd party drivers

Any Clues?

Have you tried the Universal Fax Drivers? Not sure it is compatible with the 1212 but worth a look

Hi,

the HP Universal Fax Driver would not apply, it does not support the HP Laserjet Pro M1210 Series and will only work with supported models as listed below:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software13/printers/ufd/UFD_Release_Notes2.0.134.0.pdf

From the Control Panel select Uninstall a Program and locate your printer software.

Could you please let me know its listed installation date and version?

The fax installer is 1.3.0, the full upgrade package I used from the HP site is - LJM1130_M1210_FW_Upgrade_Security_signed-20150405.

The firmware is updated to 20150405 on the printer however the Software is dated 20100428
