I need to reset the administrative password to access fax settings and I'm guessing that the only way to do that may be to reset the printer to its default settings. I don't care what I need to do, I just need to access my fax settings to make some changes so that I can use a single phone line for both voice and fax transmissions.

The only option left is to perform a full reset and re-initialize the printer.
The reset instructions are specific for your printer and performing those steps on a different printer may brick the device.
