To expand a little. A 49 error is a printers way of saying "what?" Either the print job is corrupted or the contains print comands the printer does not understand. The most common fix is to update the firmware to the latest revision. The first thing you need to do is to get rid of the problem print job. On your PC, go to control panel>devices and printers. Double click the icon for your printer which should show you the print queue. HIghlight the job and then press delete. This process may take a few minutes. Once job deletes, restart printer and computer. Once restarted with no 49 error, go to support.hp.com, search for your printer and download the Easy Firmware update for your printer. Once downloaded run the file, it will prompt for printer to update, select your printer and then press ok. This process will take a few minutes. Do not touch anything while this is happening. Once done your 49 problems should be cured.
If you have problems clearing the print queue, and alternate method is to restart the printer, and immediatly start pressing the cancel key, which if you catch it right will cancel the job and delete it from the queue.
