My printer recently started printing solid black pages. So I replaced the ink toner. Twice. Cleaned the contact points inside the printer and on the toner cartridge, cleaned the whole printer. Now it's making this awful grinding, clicking sound and not printing ANY text either from the LCD menu or from my computer. You can see and hear from the video posted here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1CzAMafsMnWLg1oKnv4TyVTsqffErdEdQ

(I'm reusing paper that's why you see images on one side of the page.) I've scoured the Internet and this forum and I've tried multiple solutions to no avail. Anything else I could try before I give up and cry over this now useless $300 printer?

That clicking sound is a motor not meshing properly with drive gearing or a cartridge drive not engaging properly. Do you get any image if you print the demo page so that it tries to print color?

Hi there!! Yes I did print the demo page and the color is fine, just zero black text anywhere.

When you say replaced cartridge twice do you mean you tried a 2 different cartridges or just removed and inserted the same black cartridge? My feeling is you either have a defective cartridge or a bad drive for the black cartridge.

I actually replaced by trying two new cartridges so I suppose it’s the bad drive? Is there a way to fix that? Thank you so much for trying to help!
