M254dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

So I brought a new HP Laser printer M254dw about 2 months ago and it was working fine. Went to print a few days ago and the printer came up with an error message and displayed error code 55.0602.

Having looked up the code and tried the reset method the HP website suggests its still not working and continues to display the error code. Im now thinking it needs a new engine control PCA? Thats what the HP website says I need when I can't reset the printer.

Any help?

If you bought it new two months ago it should be in warranty.

If it is in warranty find the support page for your printer on hp.com and look for the contact support link.

The volunteers on this forum can't get you parts or a replacement machine, but HP Tech Support can.

If my post resolves your issue please click the accepted as solution button under it.

To thank a Tech for a post click the thumbs up button under the post.

You can even click both buttons. . .

When it wouldn't go away just by turning the printer on and off, I simple unplugged it for 30 seconds, and it reset and is fine now.
