One of my clients has an HP 1200 LaserJet that I have to keep running. I've rebuilt it several times and I've got it to work on every operating system around. It's started printing 3-4 thick horizontal lines every 6th page. I rebuilt this not long ago, and thinking it might be a memory issue I swapped out the logic board. same problem appears on two different computers that are hooked up to this printer via a KVM switch.

I wish I could attach a image of the print.

Are you talking a mechanical KVM switch with a rotary dial? If so, you are lucky if you have not caused permanent damage to the electronics of the printer. These mechanical switches inject micro-surges as they are turned and are not recommended to be used.

Sounds like its a toner cartridge issue.

Replace it to see what will happen.
