I posted this message a few weeks ago but wasn't able to solve the problem, so I thought I'd try again during HP Expert Day.
I have a very frustrating issue with a LaserJet Pro 200 M276nw multifunction device. When it's connected to a phone line for faxing (with phone services provided by Xfinity), the machine will frequently lock up when the phone rings. It becomes unavailable on the network, and the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. The only way to recover the machine is to perform a power-cycle.
The phone line is also used for voice calls and has an answering machine attached. The LaserJet fax mode is set to TAM with rings-to-answer set to 2 more than the setting for the answering machine, as recommended by HP. Other than this problem, the print and fax capabilities work perfectly. Furthermore, if I unplug the phone line, this problem never occurs.
I've tried resetting the printer's NVRAM, and I've also installed the latest firmware. Neither of those resolved the issue.
Any ideas would be very much appreciated!
