HP Color LaserJet MFP M278-M281cdw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I  was printing 2 sided option, then quality of prints had slight pink points or dots, then quality of color strength got lighter & lighter.  I've been running color calibration, then clicked to print "test page"...this prints & blank page comes out!?

Now...my 2 sided option won't print on 2 sides, despite I've marked this option.

I'm fully frustrated...

Help!

(I'd like quality of print to not have pink dots....but more importantly - get the 2 sided printing to restore.)

@MtnCowgirl, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I understand the print quality is not satisfactory. Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document - Fixing Poor Print Quality

Reset the printer

  1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Note: HP recommends connecting the printer directly to a wall outlet rather than a surge protector or a power strip.

Try printing different types of documents like PDF, Word, or Webpages to check if the 2-sided printing works. Refer to this document to know how to print 2-sided from your PC.

If not, we will have to perform a clean reinstallation of the printer driver.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
