Having benefited from Matt's kind help I was able to dismantle my HP4 and duly cleaned it and ensured that the driving wheels appeared to be free from damage I reassembled it and found that the same error message appeared " 57 Service".

The cooling fan operates but I would like further check that the motor is running correctly! I am aware that as part of test procedure the motor speed must run at the correct speed!

With the unit fully reassembled I am wondering what way I can prove that the motor is behaving correctly!

Many thanks for any thoughts you might have!
