Color Laserjet Pro MFP M277n
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My printer is Hp color Laserjet MFP M277n, and today the message suddenly jump ouy for no reason. Usually I print invoice in A5 paper size in Tray 2 however now the printer won't pick up paper A5 from Tray 2. I tried reset and restart printer many times and try to print report in the printer setting in case the tray 2 won't pick up the paper, but it picked up the paper.

So my conclusion is the printer cannot detect A5 paper in tray 2 as an A5 size paper. I cannot put A5 paper in tray 1 one by one everytime coz it costs alot of time for me.

Hi @Dara17,

Firstly make sure that the tray-2 guides are set correctly to A5 size and that the tray-2 configuration size is set to A5 as well.

Then, take out tray-2 and check it for any damage, especially at the sides of it where the size selectors are.

If you have access to a another M277 printer swap trays and see if this resolves the issue.

If it doesn't, then the printer's sensors that detect the paper size must be replaced.

I hope these guidelines will help you.

Cheers!
