Are you having paper feed problems? The reason I ask is that if the printer fails to pick properly it can generate this behaviour.  You will know if you hear the pickup roller spin several times just to feed me sheet. Also make sure that the paper size is set to match actual loaded paper and that matches what your program is trying to print on. 3rd party cartridges can also trigger issues. Also ensure your firmware is up to date.

 

The cleaning cannot be skipped you must find out what is causing the issue and fix it.
