Hi HP Community, I have an HP - MFP M277dw Color All-In-One printer.  This device has recently shown up on my other devices' WiFi settings, as a Network option to connect to.  These other devices show DIRECT-cc-HP M277 Laster Jet as a Network Name to connect to.  I have never seen this before.  I can successfully print from my normal home wireless network.  I simply want to remove this printers name as a possible network to connect to.  Any Suggestions?  I am also concerned is there a security issue here, as this being an access point.  Thank you.

Hi,

Click the Wireless icon on the top left side of the printer screen, then tap the middle option of Network or Wireless and locate the printer's IP address.

From your computer, browse to this address, the EWS page of your printer opens.

open the Network tab and select WiFi Direct Settings, from there set WiFi Direct as Off and the SSID will no longer appear.
