i just purchased a HP LaserJet Pro M404 M405 Printer. The printer functions properly when connected to  router via Ethernet Cable. I can connect to the router by using the WPS button on my Netgear Router.  My problem I cannot maintain the wireless connection after powering the printer down and restarting the printer.

I have rebooted the router my laptop and the problem still exists. The only way I reconnect the printer is to reconnect using the WPS button

ANY suggestions?

Some users have had issues with newer 5Ghz routers not connecting reliably due to questionable compatibility of the wireless chipsets in the printers with current network hardware. Some users have had good success by setting a distinct SSID to the 2.4 Ghz channel of their dual band  router and restricting the printer to only connect to the 2.4Ghz band.
