Just placed New black toner cartridge 201X for HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw black smears on page. Only older answer I saw was to replace - too expensive to just toss out. Can someone provide instruction on how to manually clean the drum?

If you just replaced the cartridge and started having the problem then most likely it is a defective cartridge and you should get it replaced under HP cartridge warranty. If it is 3rd party, then they have sold you a defective supply and they should replace it.
