laserjet pro m148dw
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I just purchased an HP laserjet pro m148dw for my business and I am trying to connect it wirelessly via our Google Wifi network.  I've read about other printers that needed to be setup without WPS via an advanced menu on the printer itself.

I have messed with the printer and trying to figure out how I can get it onto the Google Wifi network for an hour now, and I don't see a way to choose a SSID or anything of the sort.

Figured out the solution.  I needed to get a laptop over to the printer and connect it with USB cable.  The HP Smart software, available at 123.hp.com/Laserjet allowed me to choose a network for the printer.

You have to make sure the laptop is connected to the same network that you want the printer on.

  • Note: Use the USB to Wireless setup as this device does not have WPS button options.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
