HP Recommended
HP Laserjet M506
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My client gets the following error when printing. The user only gets this with one printer and they are the only domain user getting the error:

PCL XL error

Subsystem error illegal tag

Operator 0x40 position 28

This error prints as an additional page on all print jobs. This does not affect printing otherwise. The error prints on all documents (Word, Excel, PDF, web print, image print).

User is on Windows 10 Pro 64 bit printing to an HP Laserjet M506 PCL-6 (all drivers have the same error code print out).

Haven't had any luck with any fixed I've found (changed paper to plain from unspecified, removed and remapped printer, recreated user's profile) so I'm hoping someone knows what this error means and how to fix it.

Thanks!
