Hello, OK, so I know the Pagewide E58650 is not a laser, but this forum does not slice of PageWide into a sub-section.
So, here is the issue: We are depoying over 100 units around a Mid-Western state. The IT guys used a demo unit to set up their settings and quick-sets, then save and restore back through the network to pre-program the units.
The issue is it is taking 45 to 60 minutes for what normally is a 5 minute process. FW version is 4.7.01, which is the latest for this unit.
Thoughts on why this is turning a 5 minute process into a 60 minute ordeal?

All things being equal, network backup/restore is always going to be slower than a direct USB, not sure how they setup the demo unit. May just be a newtwork traffic issue. Are you performing this directly through the embedded web server or are you using Web JetAdmin to push out the settings? Web JetAdmin would allow for unsupervised push out of the settings, say overnight when network traffic is lower.
