Are the paper settings correct on the printer. These units do not auto detect what paper is loaded you need to set it. If the setting happens to be something other than A4 then the printer will pause and wait for the correct paper to be loaded. That or the printer is not detecting that paper is loaded at all. Are you able to print something basic such as a test page?
