Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The printer is stating there is a paper jam, but there is not one.  We trouble shoot all the potential issues, find no paper jammed anywhere and attempt to clear the error message.  The printer refuses to recognize there is no paper jam.   We have powered it off and back on with no change in the printer status.  We tried unplugging it, waiting 30 seconds and plugging it back in, same issue remains.

Oddly, about a week before this issue started, the ability to select two-sided printing changed from automatic to manual feed.  Had not updated the operating software on the PC or printer, just stopped recognizing the printer had the auto-feed for two sided printing capability.

Is there a resolution to these issues or is it time for a new printer?

@DH101

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue.

If you have already performed the steps from the document Paper Jam Error: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04100778 and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.
