Lately, I notice that printed photo pages have smudged coloring along the edges (front and back).  How do I clean the  HP Color LaserJet MFP M281fdw so that I can have clean printing?

If the printer is dirty enough to smudge then likely you have an issue with a toner cartridge or possibly a bad fuser. There is no point in cleaning without addressing this issue first. Remove the cartridges and examine them closely for signs of leakage such as excess toner on the drums, lines of toner on the edges of the cartridge. If the smudging on the page easily rubs off then that would be a sign that you have problem with the fuser.

So, fixing the fuser is something that HP will have to do.  I have no clue how to fix the fuser.
