Power problem HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M177fw

HP Color Laser Jet Pro MFP M177fw

Power cable connected properly. In South Africa we have often power load shedding meaning a few hours no power. After one of these power cuts my printer stayed dead. Could a power surge damage the printer? Does the printer have a build in fuse? Please advice what to do or to check.

Thanks

A surge could definitely damage the printer. Any device will have some type of fuse on the power supply but it may not be an easily replaced pop out unit but rather soldered to the board. I would only know by physical inspection as service manuals do not get into this type of detail. Perhaps another member here will know

Thanks for your opinion, though I am not sure what  to do. Most probably drop the device of at a repair center. I hoped however I could check myself an save some bucks!
