If network connected, the connection is failing and when it reconnects Windows does not detect this change in Status. This is usually caused by the type of port being used on the printer driver. Windows usually defaults to using a WSD port. On your computer, go to control panel, devices and printers, right click the printer icon and select printer properties from the drop down menu. Then check the port type and add a new Standard TCP/IP port with the IP address of the printer.
